Erie’s premier downtown festival, Celebrate Erie, takes place the third weekend of August. State Street comes alive from 4th to 12th Streets, celebrating all that Erie has to offer; food, music, children’s events and the performing arts all in the heart of the downtown district. The ‘Taste of Erie’ kicks off in Perry Square on Thursday night, offering a taste of the regions very best fine dining fare with music in the gazebo, all in an open-air setting. See chalk walk artists as they create one-of-a-kind masterpieces on our city streets. And don’t miss out as the event closes on Sunday evening with an awesome Zambelli Fireworks display over Erie’s Bayfront.
